A Variable Speed Drive (VSD) is an electronic device designed to control the speed and torque of an electric motor by adjusting the frequency and voltage supplied to the motor. Instead of running a motor at full speed continuously, a VSD allows operators to match motor speed precisely to the application’s requirements.
